So why is Microsoft making it so difficult to cancel the free BETA subscription....?  Is this a ploy to generate phantom revenue by charging everyone's credit card even though they will be issued a credit later...?  Get a grip.  Let people cancel without the charges!!!

When will Office Live be available in Canada?
Will we be notified when it becomes available?
The signup form shows "State/Region", and "Zip/Postal Code" , but allows only a State to be entered.
    Maybe it's a "Beta form".

My startup is using your Office Live Collaboration Beta service, and we really like it.

Two additional features that would be *tremendously* helpful to us:
    - Ability to request notification of new posts; this could be at the main app level, e.g. Calendar, Documents, etc., or could be at the project or task level
    - Auto-link Tasks in the Project tool with Outlook tasks, so that me and my colleagues can keep track of tasks offline as well as online, and can edit within Outlook or online

    Thanks!

    Valcan:
Microsoft did a big surprize! What is a huge discrimination for Canada and Canadians with Office Live Beta service distribution! This service isn't available in Canada, it's only for US and some Europe countries, where their governments are tired to sue Microsoft, year after year, year after year. It's interesting why Microsoft choose Canada and not Germany, for instance. Is it because our country belong the Third World? Let's try to explain this...

Is it possible to have a pocketpc sync with the calendar, contacts and notes in outlook that are the folders from my windows live account?
  • November 05 9:37 PM
What is the best way to get existing outlook data such as calendar appts, contacts, notes and existing email folders into office live? I have tried a few things but run into problems. Is there a how to document that will cover comprehensively how someone goes about this who is seriously trying to make their outlook integrate seemlessly with office live. I have downloaded and installed outlook connector. Some informationi about how information is passed between outlook and office live would be helpful. Bryan

    - You are correct that this is all about Office Live coming out of Beta
    - Dr. Drew: our mail has already been updated to use Live Mail M8.  If you are NOT seeing this experience on your Office Live created mailbox please let me know
    - Dr Drew:  We won't have a list of known issues fixed.. there are enough changes in the upcoming release that the list would be way too long...  after we come out of Beta we may start to have a 'top issues' list of some sort which we keep and update over time.  Stay tuned...

When will this service be available in Canada?  It looks like there will be beta's in other countries coming out shortly and the US version is only accessible by US customers?

    Thanks

The first bullet in this is incorrect. It says that Microsoft Office will be coming out of beta on November 15th. Actually, it's "Microsoft Office Live" that will be coming out of beta on November 15th, according to the linked press release. As far as I can tell, no announcement about a date for Microsoft Office's (2007) release has been announced yet.

is this also when the office live mail will be updated to more closely resemble live mail M8?

and will we ever get a known/fixed issues list detailing what bugs are present, being worked on, fixed, etc?

    Thanks for this exciting news!
