I am unable to edit or build my website since this update, I built one before the changes with a .net and added a .com site, the page acts like it is loading over and over to a blank page. I have spoken with support who say it is fixed but it,s not fixed !  this will be the 3rd time they try to figure out the problem, I see other are having this problem too.

This is a problem caused by the changes because it was working fine before these added features so if anyone figures out what the problem is please e-mail me !  because I dont think ishmar and geunshal from India is going to get it !

 

This is great news. Especially that calendar and task sync to Outlook via the Outlook Connector will be free to all Live Office users. At the same time, this makes the relationship to Live Domains (or is it called Live Admin now?) more difficult: If I understand the situation correct, then after this is fully implemented things will be like this: If I register a domain with Office Live Basic, I have no costs at all, can create email accounts on that domain and get full sync with Outlook for calendar and tasks for these accounts. If, on the other hand, I register the domain with Live Domains, I also have no cost, can create email accounts there, but do not get calendar and task sync. The situation gets absurd once you start to look at Hotmail Plus and Live domains, which is what I have: I actually pay for my email account that is hosted via Live Domains, but I don't get sync for calendar and tasks. I could get it for free if I used Office Live Basic. Now, I would migrate, but to do that I first have to delete my account on Live Domains, and if I understand the messages there correctly, that will delete my email accounts and that of course is not an option.

 

So, to make a long story short: I applaud you to include calendar and task sync in the free package, but this should minimally go to Hotmail Plus subscribers as well, and really I think to Live Domain accounts also, because otherwise you have the strange situation that people get different features depending on which free offering they choose from you guys, but without a really simple option to change between them.

 

I know that this is a question that is not really an Office Live question, but on the other hand from the outside it is hard to impossible at this point to figure out who is in charge of what. Would be much appreciated if you could let whoever is in charge of this know about this point! Thanks :)

Are the new changes making it so we can not edit the HOME pages?  I really need to get into the HOME page but I have tried three different computers and I can not get in there to edit?????  Any hint? suggestions?  meditation tricks so my head doesn't pop? hee hee?  please help...

 

Or can I just start a new HOME page?

Can't give you hard dates.. but real soon!  As for the changes: some small changes should be noticeable to you already (like: check the reports interface); some more coming!

Glad to see some improvements are on the way .  I've been using OL for 4 months (premium) and still can't get the Outlook Connector to work.  Each time I call I spend an hour or so on the line and then am told to upgrade to Office 2007.  Funny thing is, we have the same problem on a PC here that already has the upgrade.  If I have to uninstall and reinstall Outlook or Outlook Connector again I may scream.   PLEASE get the connector fixed so I can the calendar sync feature works as promised.

When will MS fix the broken backup / restore function? It's clearly a system problem. When will the backup / restore function work for all accounts, please?

Any information available on what custom XSLT the Office Live Basic user will have control of?

 

Will a Basic user be able to use Sharepoint Designer to design pages after the upgrade?
